How to Order
A4 Samples:
Order an A4 sample to fully experience the design, texture, colours*, and patterns before committing to your purchase.
*Note: Allow for slight colour variations between samples and full-sized products. Exact matches may not be possible due to differences in print runs.
Hide & Seek Kids/ Gumnut Kids Cubby Wallpapers and Mud Kitchen Splashbacks:
We provide custom cubby wallpapers designed to perfectly fit the feature wall of your Hide and Seek Kids/ Gumnut Kids Cubby House, right up to the peak (if applicable). Each wallpaper includes a slight bleed on the width and height to accommodate minor size variations in cubby manufacturing. Simply trim the excess during installation—no measuring required! Just select your cubby from the dropdown list when purchasing.
Your wallpaper will come in panels with a 1cm overlap on each panel. You can trim it to fit up to the peak or roofline during installation if desired.
We offer splashbacks designed to fit each of the Hide & Seek Kids/ Gumnut Kids mud kitchens. Please ensure you order the correct one by reviewing the kitchen names on the Hide and Seek Kids website before placing your order. Simply select your mud kitchen from the dropdown list when purchasing.
Hacks, Play Kitchens and Dollhouses:
The scale of our wallpaper designs increases with the size of the sheet you order. For dollhouse projects, we recommend choosing A4, A3, or A2 sheets from the dropdown list to ensure the design remains proportionate. For larger dollhouses, you may also find our Ikea Duktig Splashback size suitable (for panelling, flooring, and tiles, we suggest A3 size only.)
We are famous for our huge range of wallpaper and decals, especially designed for play kitchen hacks. We have splashbacks available for both the Ikea Duktig Kitchen and Kmart Large Kitchen Playset. Simply select your mud kitchen from the dropdown list when purchasing.
Wallpaper:
Ordering wallpaper is simple—just measure your wall/s width and height!
- Available Panel Heights: 250cm, 280cm, 310cm, 350cm, and 370cm. These heights accommodate standard wall dimensions and include extra length for uneven walls.
- Standard Wall Heights by Region:
- Australia: 2.4m (240cm), 2.7m (270cm), 3m (300cm), 3.658m (365.8cm)
- USA: 7ft. 9″ (236cm), 8ft. (243.8cm), 9ft. (274.3cm), 10ft. (304.8cm), 11ft. (335.3cm), 12ft. (365.8cm)
- UK: 2.3m (7ft. 6.5″), 2.4m (8ft.), 2.5m (8ft. 2″), 2.6m (8ft. 6″)
- Panel Widths: Each panel is 64cm wide, including a 1cm overlap for a seamless finish. To calculate how many panels you’ll need:
- Divide your total wall width by 64cm. For example, for a 300cm wide wall: 300 ÷ 64 = 4.6875 panels. Round up to the nearest whole number (5 panels).
Measuring Guidelines:
One Feature Wall or Regular Wall:
- Measure the wall’s width (left to right) along both the ceiling and the floor (as walls may not be perfectly square).
- Measure the wall’s height (floor to ceiling) on both the left and right sides.
- Use the largest measurements as your final dimensions for ordering.
Multiple or Adjoining Walls:
- Measure the width of each wall individually (top and bottom).
- Add the widths together to calculate the total wall width. For example:
- Wall 1 + Wall 2 = Total Width
- Wall 1 + Wall 2 + Wall 3 = Total Width
- Measure the height of each wall, using the tallest point as your final height.
- Allow extra height for wall warping.
Pitched Ceilings:
- Measure the width as usual.
- For slanted roofs, measure the tallest point as your final height. Excess wallpaper can be trimmed during installation and repurposed creatively.
Walls with Doors, Windows, or Obstacles:
- Measure the entire wall, including doors, windows, or other obstacles.
- Trim around these features during installation using relief cuts.
Important Notes:
Double-check your measurements before ordering, as wallpaper cannot be altered once produced.
· REMEMBER: Prep is essential for proper wallpaper adhesion. Use Vipond’s Self Adhesive Prep Coat—it’s non-negotiable!
