Hello, I’m Phoebe, a stay at home working mum, to a busy but independent four year old daughter!
As a childcare educator for the past seven plus years and now running my own Family Daycare, I know how much time and effort goes into planning and building onto your child’s play areas.
I’ve found that I’m setting up a new theme in the play kitchen to extend the level of interest and explore a new way of role play with the children. But it’s also a lot of effort, planning and can end up being expensive printing everything off!
I wanted to design something that can be used in an open ended way, that you can add ‘extras’ from around the house to suit the shop front and it can be taken down and re-used whenever you want!
I’m a very excited to be collaborating with Kristy and her team to bring these Shop Fronts to families who don’t have the time to create their own! We hope you love them as much as we do!

1/ A full decal set to cover the front of the kitchen - all pieces cut to size.
2/ A wallpaper splashback - comes cut to size 31cm (h) x 66cm (w). You'll need to attach a piece of plywood/ corflute from your local hardware store to the back of the kitchen.
3/ A wallpaper piece to cover the rear of the kitchen - comes as x1 large piece, simply trim to size as desired. This option allows you to turn the back of your kitchen into a market stand.
4/ A wallpaper piece to cover the cupboard door (right side) - comes cut to size.
5/ Wallpaper for the box shelves - select x1 A4 sheet per shelf, and simply trim to size.
6/ A wallpaper bench top - select x1 60cm (h) x 90cm (w) sheet, and simply trim to size.
7/ Faux rattan wallpaper to cover the Perspex sections on the microwave and oven

3/ You may like to spray paint your handles, sink, tap and hanging rack, but do seek advice about how to prepare the surfaces before painting.

Decal installation: To install, remove the backing sheet entirely, then stick the decal. Reposition as needed. Keep the adhesive clean from dust and debris, as these can inhibit the adhesive.
Please note: Each Ikea Duktig kitchen may have slightly different dimensions. We have prepared the decals to size, to the best of our ability. Our wallpaper is easy to trim if required, we suggest using a cutting board, sharp knife (e.g. Stanley knife) and straight edge metal ruler.
***The colours seen here will appear different when printed, as the website photos are a representation only. The first photo shows a sample colour, closest would ge blush or dusty pink.
Our decals are sized to fit this exact kitchen, purchased in Australia. We can’t guarantee that Ikea products are the same around the world, nor that older models of the kitchen have the same dimensions.
